Top off the oil with synthetic oil formulated especially for high-mileage cars. Finally, clean the backup camera lens with a rag. It's probably also a good idea to wash your car every few weeks, or monthly. Washing the accumulated dirt and grime off your Toyota does more than keep it looking great – it can protect the paint from peeling and rust from forming on any exposed metal parts. Every 3,000 Miles Changing the oil is the most important thing you can do every 3,000 miles to keep your car running smoothly. You'll also want to replace the oil filter, check the washer fluid level, and add fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank next time you fill up. Every Year On your car's birthday (or the anniversary of the day you bought it), there's a number of maintenance tasks to accomplish: Inspect the brakes and check the brake fluid level Clean the battery connections Inspect hoses and clamps If your car is a manual, check the transmission fluid Check the coolant strength Back-flush the radiator with a garden hose from the engine side and rinse off the air conditioner condenser Buff the headlight assembly Replace the cabin air filter (if you drive a lot, replace it more often – every 15,000 miles) Every 30,000 Miles When you're about a third of the way to your second 100,000 miles, you should do the following: Check your spark plugs and replace them, especially if they weren't replaced before you bought the vehicle If your car has a distributor cap and rotor, replace them Change the transmission fluid If your vehicle is a late-1970s to early-1990s model, replace the oxygen sensors Perform a bounce test for the shocks, and inspect them for leaks Clean the throttle body Replace the PCV valve Replace the fuel filter Flush the coolant system and check the battery electrolyte level, replacing it if the levels are low. Every 60,000 Miles and Beyond At 60,000 miles, you'll want to replace the air filter, change the automatic transmission fluid (if applicable), inspect the brakes and accessory drive belts, replace the timing belt, and inspect the front-end alignment. At 80,000 miles, inspect your Toyota's u-joints. At 100,000 miles, replace the oxygen sensors if your vehicle was made after the mid-1990s. Also, replace the rear-axle lubricant. You should also regularly have the alignment adjusted to extend the life of your tires and suspension. DeLuca Toyota presented a $5,000 donation to Interfaith Emergency Services on Tuesday, June 9th. This money will support relief efforts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund helps pay utilities and rent and other essentials. Frank DeLuca, President/Owner of DeLuca Toyota presented the donation to Interfaith Emergency Services, CEO Karla Grimsely and the Interfaith Emergency Services Board of Directors. “Because of this crisis, this pandemic, we’ve seen so many working-class even managers, people in upper-level positions who have lost their income...and they're trying to figure out how to pay for their essentials: utilities, rent, mortgage and keep themselves housed. We’ve been trying to give 2 months at a time for those who qualify and they have to prove to us they did lose employment due to COVID, most of them are showing up with letters from their employees or we’ll get the furlough notice. And the relief on their face when we hand them a check to pay their rent is just so heartwarming. There’s going to be families whom the burden is going to be lifted because of this money. I wish you could see their faces. It’s really incredible and we appreciate it so much. These are people who are not used to asking for help. It’s very humbling for them to even come in and they’ll tell us that they put it off until they were desperate. On May 20, 2020, DeLuca Toyota located in Ocala, FL partnered with the Frank DeLuca YMCA for a community-wide food distribution event. Due to the number of people who are struggling right now, and the lack of access to healthy foods, the food drive was a way to support the Ocala/Marion County, Florida Community. Employees from DeLuca Toyota volunteered and handed out food to nearly 250 families in need. More than 50% of local residents report that they do not have access to healthy food, specifically produce. Groceries provided were a mix of produce and household items including apples, pears, oranges, squash, zucchini, sweet potatoes plus much-needed toilet paper & paper towels. President and owner of DeLuca Toyota, Frank DeLuca participated with DeLuca Toyota employees. As a longtime supporter of several local community charities, DeLuca Toyota has a 42-year history of giving back to the community.
